On November 25 the celebration of 25 years anniversary of Tatra-Yug’s production!

pablo(45)

Friends, the Ukrainian trambuilding is 25 years old! Back in 1993, Mr. Kerdivara, the company’s general director, together with the largest tramcar manufacturer in the world, ČKD Tatra (Czech Republic), founded on the basis of the Yuzhmash Plant, named after A.M. Makarova (Dnepr), a unique production site for the construction and manufacturing of Ukrainian trams.

Thanks to the production of Tatra-Yug Ukraine entered the top ten countries with a full cycle of production of tramcars.

The organization of the production process according to the requirements of the European partner, a yearlong education and training of specialists, the preparation of the technical base, the adaptation of the design documentation – were the first steps of the Ukrainian tram building 25 years ago.

Today Tatra-Yug is a successful fully Ukrainian enterprise, which provides high-quality products to many cities in Ukraine and works on export contracts. About 250 Ukrainian companies are involved in the production process, due to which localization of products is up to 95%. During this time, the construction bureau has developed 8 types of trams for any consumer needs and any features of the city.

Tatra-Yug team consists of professionals, talented designers, experienced engineers and responsible managers. We rejoice to celebrate a quarter of a century with you and that Ukraine can be proud of the Tatra-Yug trams.

Tatra-Yug took part in the international transport exhibition InnoTrans 2018

1AD22ECC-66D3-4859-98A2-1E97C38FD344

From 18 to 21 September the largest transport exhibition InnoTrans traditionally held in Berlin, Germany. The company Tatra-Yug participated for the fifth time in this large-scale event. Our booth was visited by the ministers of transport, representatives of municipalities, heads of enterprises and tram fans.

During the international transport exhibition in Berlin we presented a hundred percent low-floor modular type tram car. The new vehicle with swiveling bogies was designed by the construction bureau and R&D department of the company. One of the features of this model is the ability to assemble tramcar as a constructor for each customer. For example, the length could be modified thanks to the modularity or the interior could be changed due to the flexibility in design solutions.

“We originally designed the tramcar to meet all European standards and satisfy the needs of European urban areas,” commented Anatoly Kerdivara, General Director.

The Tatra-Yug tramcar aroused interest from many customers, and the company received invitations to participate at several international tenders.

“For 25 years by now we have been promoting the idea of availability of tram systems in any urban area. InnoTrans this year confirmed the relevance of our activities — the geography of projects for the construction or recovery of tramway lines has spread around the globe — from Latin America to Australia”, — mentioned Tatra-Yug’s General Director.

The tramcar K1E6 was designed and manufactured in accordance with individual requirements of the buyer – all requests were taken into account. It is a high-floor tramcar, which consists of two sections, jointed by a swivel bellow, with three bogies and three double doors. The tram uses asynchronous traction drive with vector control, which provides efficient usage of energy, ensuring highly smooth running. The bogie of the tram has efficient and smart design and is equipped with a two-stage suspension.

There are 30 passenger seats inside the salon, which are organized in accordance with the 1+1 scheme. This layout of seats provides comfortable movement of passengers inside the salon. The total capacity of the tramcar is 206 passengers. Lighting is realized with LED lamps. The spacious interior creates a maximally comfortable atmosphere for passengers. The main operational brake is electrodynamic by which, due to the recuperation process, energy recovers to the contact network, reducing costs of electricity for the buyer.
