LLC “Tatra-Yug” and ME Kyivpastrans have signed a contract agreement for the supply of 20 new tramcars for the city of Kyiv. The contract was signed based on the results of an international tender held according to the rules of the European Investment Bank in the framework of the project “Urban Public Transport of Ukraine”.
As of December 2020, all 15 tramcars of the Ukrainian manufacturer Tatra-Yug have been delivered to the Egyptian city of Alexandria. Thus, all obligations for the supply of trams under the contract have been successfully completed. Trams for Alexandria were designed according to the individual requirements of the buyer to be adapted to the special features of the city infrastructure and climatic conditions.
In the city of Alexandria in Egypt, the first stage of the project for the supply of 15 new tram cars was completed.
At the moment, all 8 cars of Tatra-Yug production are on the line and are successfully transporting passengers of one of the oldest tram systems in the world.
